Utilizing the most recent DBT Skill Building Manual created by Marsha Linehan, I work to provide education on the tenets of DBT as a modality. This structured approach to the therapeutic relationship allows for a holistic view of our relationships with others as well as with ourselves.

During my time in the field I have worked to prioritize continuing my education in trauma informed modalities such as Sandtray, breath work, nervous system psychoeducation, and more. I aim to always strive for continued learning that meets the needs of my clients who are processing traumatic events.

I work to create space for all clients of all identities. Along with having a safe space to seek mental health treatment, I work to remain informed on the most up to date standards of care for clients in the LGBTQ+ community. Additionally, I strive to create relationships within community spaces in order to strengthen allyship across the greater Birmingham area.

In my current scope of practice I am equipped to assist clients who are needing to work through addictions, identity struggles, traumas, and relationship issues. Under the supervision of Dr. Misty Smith I continue to learn more about the tenets of sex therapy with the goal of achieving certification in the near future.

In my practice I work to educate and empower clients on the importance of having a connected relationship between mind and body. Through empirical evidence, continued education and mindfulness I work to help clients discover what an authentic connection can look like in everyday life.
